"I’ve always wanted to be a pharmacist, and my whole entire life has always been like that. I took my prerequisites for pharmacy school, and I was working at Walgreen’s as a pharmacy technician. Now I was working there for four years. Three out of the four years that I was working there I was getting ear infections. Every single month I would get an ear infection. I would go to a different doctor, they would give me different antibiotics, nothing worked. Eventually someone said hey why don’t you go try chiropractic. I start laughing, like what are they gonna do? Crack my head? I’m not going. A month later I had double ear infections. I went to the doctor and he said, "okay that’s it we are going to put tubes in your ears." I said let me go and try this chiropractic thing and see if its gonna work or not. So I went to a chiropractor, and I have not had an ear infection since. Now before that, I had gotten accepted into FAMU (Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University), into the pharmacy school there. But, I decided that I don’t wanna do that, I just want to go to chiropractic school, so I called them and told them I’m not coming. I applied to chiropractic school and I went there. I now have a doctorate of chiropractic, and am a chiropractor with my own business. [The Covid-19 pandemic] has not affected my business at all. One of the things that it had affected as far as the business itself its just having to clean more, having to buy more supplies. I have had one case, an 81-year-old guy, and he still comes in. The people that are coming in that are under care did not get [Covid-19]. [Chiropractic care] is not just helping with pain, it also helps with building your immune system."
